Last month, after a week-end in Copenhagen, my friend Raphaël and I took the train to Abisko, a very small village in Northern Sweden, famous for its light pollution-free National Park, ideal for viewing aurora borealis.

How we got there:

Where we stayed:
We stayed in, a hostel really close to the train station. The staff was really nice and helpful. Tomas, the manager, even has a sixth sense to predict aurora.
They offer additional activities such as dogsled tours (unfortunately there wasn’t enough snow when we were there but we could still meet the dogs) and a sauna.
