Ria do Alvor, has a very unique lake environment. Also, it has a trail of just under 6 km that allows you to appreciate this environment with a lot of lake and dune biodiversity. It is called “Ao Sabor da Maré”.

HOW TO GET TO RIA DO ALVOR TRAIL

To reach the walkways of Ria do Alvor the ideal is to go to Praia do Alvor and park the car there. The route of the walkways of the Ria do Alvor starts behind the Alvor Sports Complex (on the beach of Alvor Poente) near the car park. Another option is, even better, to start the walkways of the Ria do Alvoriço still on the beach of Três Irmãos, walking along the coast and then making the ao Sabor da Maré Trail, on the walkways. Even the section between the beach of Três Irmãos and the Ria de Alvor has a walkway.

THE ROUTE OF RIA DO ALVOR TRAIL

The Trail to Sabor da Maré is part of the walkways of the Ria do Alvor and is a circular route beginning and ending behind the Alvor Sports Complex in a total of about 6 km. The trail of the Ria do Alvor is always flat and on a walkway, which is very pleasant and suitable for all ages. As the trail to “Sabor da Maré” is connected to the Passadios of Ria do Alvor that connects the beach of Alvor to the beach of the Três Irmãos, this allows a total walk of about 9 km and enjoy the beach even more. It is an excellent program for the end of the afternoon on the best trails in the Algarve and in the Ria do Alvor.
